Casio Planet was founded on 15 September 2004 by two young enthusiasts, and Neuronix Muelsaco. At the time, the obligation to systematically by the webmaster was a sharing programs to brake. Hence the idea by the two founders to develop a site so that programmers can publish and update projects with ease.
Thus, the site has quickly gained popularity to become the leading community of francophone programmers Casio graphing calculators. The community wants to open and welcomes beginners as young experts present on other communities. Similarly, she is interested in what is happening around it (as Casiopeia , Universal Casio Forum …), including the IT community ( IT-Planet ) or mixed ( Omnimaga , Cemetech ) in order to enrich their knowledge and skills.
In this way, Casio Planet has one of the world's largest programs Casio bases, accessible to all.
The site also relies on partnerships with professionals such as Casio Education and Open2Europe (in charge of communication Casio) to promote the fun aspect of programming calculator. Finally, the site and the community organize regular programming competitions including staffing can reach 1000 € per contest, as was the case in 2011 and 2012 to stimulate and encourage the creativity of the members.
Today Neuronix Muelsaco and founded their own company, Sublinet , specializing in browser games. Now Casio Planet is managed and run by a volunteer team of administrators, developers, moderators, editors and youtubers whose main objective is to make this unforgettable adventure.
In 2013, Planet Casio has been visited 520,000 times by 250,000 unique visitors generating 3.6 million page views. Moreover, June was the most active with 94,000 visits and 715,000 page views, and attendance is increasing every year (source: Google Analytics) .
