Ed Fry was the sole programmer of a one-person programming group called Fryed Software. Occasionally, he teamed up with Damon D'ambrosi of Nomad Software to work on joint projects. His most notable game is Final Fantasy VII, Cloud's Quest. Fryed Software and Nomad Software merged in 2010 to become BlueCrimson.

He co-administers the TI-Basic Webring. His Fryed Software site was one of the sites that got hosting through Dimension-TI.
