George Limpert has joined the calc.org staff as a news editor and columnist. He brings many years of experience to the site, doing these jobs previously at Ti-Files and at TI-News. To ensure that we see as much news as possible, we, the calc.org staff have also created the gro.clac|swen#gro.clac|swen e-mail address to submit news, in addition to the queue for unofficial news. Person History

Around the same time that the July 1999 ticalc.org newsletter came out, George Limpert wrote up an agreement (URL: http://www.calc.org/piracy.txt) that all of the major TI community sites would adhere to, in which they would stand together against piracy and code theft. The agreement was in response to the program piracy by the Hays Games Company programming group, where they released other programmers' works as their own (simply changing the name and listing themselves as the author) as well as releasing their own programs under other peoples' names.
