About

The TI-8x Webring was began in May of 1997. It was a collaboration between Ben Skigen and Brandon Turok. Ben did all the hard work for the ring, and Brandon made the logo. It has grown from several sites in it to the over 100 we have now. We average about 200-1500 hits to the ring per day, making us the most popular TI Webring on Earth. On our best day, we had 3200 hits! I would consider that an accomplishment. To check what our current stats are, click Here Most sites in the ring will usually receive several hundred hits to their site by the end of the first month

Texas Instruments Calculator WebRing Homepage
Ray Kremer, RingMaster

The TI Calculator WebRing was created on March 24th, 1997 to try to link together pages all over the net containing something about Texas Instruments Graphing Calculators. That might be technical stuff, programs, and so on. On September 25, 2000 Ray Kremer took over as the RingMaster.

What's a WebRing?

A WebRing is basically a group of sites/homepages linked together via an image or text identifying them as members, that have a common theme. The theme of this WebRing is that you have a homepage about a Texas Instruments Graphing Calculator. See the WebRing homepage for more information.

The Ring Banners

When you join the ring, you will have to put the Ring banner onto your page. You have two options: the grpahical imagemap banner, or Yahoo's textual Server Side Navigation Bar. The banner allows your visitors able to go around in the ring, join the ring and so on. It is up to you which one you want to use. This is what they look like:

Something for me?

YES! This is something for you, if you have a homepage containing something about a Texas Instruments Graphing Calculator. Big or small, doesn't matter! Just join the ring!
Read the Rules before you join

There are a few rules to be followed!

We are very selective on additions to the ring. It's not enough to have a page saying "TI-x Calculator page…" It must have a good content.
The page you submit must be your own, or managed by you. Meaning you are the editor or webmaster of that page.
You must submit a valid page when joining. All fake and non-existant pages will immediately be removed from the ring queue.
When joining, you must create a Yahoo user name for yourself if you do not already have one and set up the Yahoo mail account for that user name to forward to your primary e-mail address (unless it is your primary address) or you will not receive your crucial ring registration information.
Please do not modify the HTML fragment that you receive after registering. You may center it, but please do not change its width or height. Doing so will get you suspended from the ring until you fix it or ask to be removed from the ring. Please add the HTML codes to your page as quickly as possible, so that your site is not a dead end!
We ask that you place the HTML fragment on the page that you specify when you join the ring so that ring surfers can find it and get to the next page easily. If you absolutely must have the Ring banner on a separate page, there needs to be a clear and easy to find "WebRing" link on the main page that leads to the banner. If the RingMaster cannot find the banner on your page it will be removed from the Ring.
The page you submit (and its links) must follow all applicable regulations.

Click here to join the WebRing!

The Site URL must be correct! The site title you enter is what will be shown in the WebRing index. If the Site URL is wrong, you won't be listed, and you'll have to re-join.
